James Owens, age 82, of Troy, MI, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at his son’s home in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born March 7, 1930 in Dyer, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty three years, Joan Owens. Loving father of Jerry D. Owens, Jan D. Bickford and James D. Owens. Grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 7. Dear friend of the late Joyce Adams.
He was a retiree of Ford Motor Company and a veteran of the Korean War.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 3pm to 9pm with a service at 7pm. Burial will take place Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester, MI.
